The San Francisco Deputy Sheriff’s Association Political Action Committee (the “Committee”) is a political committee and 527 nonprofit organization created to raise and spend funds to support and oppose candidates for San Francisco public office and state and local ballot measures.
Are there limits on how much you may contribute to the Committee?
No. Contributions to the Committee are unlimited as a matter of First Amendment law. The Committee may accept contributions from individuals, corporations and other types of business entities, PACs, nonprofits, lobbyists, and labor unions. It may not, however, accept contributions from “foreign nationals.”
Are contributions to the Committee tax deductible?
No. Contributions to the Committee are not tax deductible as charitable contributions or business expenses.
