SFDSA Endorses Trevor Chandler for District 9 Supervisor #2

The San Francisco Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (SFDSA) is proud to announce our endorsement of Trevor Chandler as our #2 choice for District 9 Supervisor. Trevor has demonstrated a deep understanding of the public safety challenges facing District 9 and has laid out a comprehensive plan to address them head-on.

District 9 is grappling with high crime rates, particularly in areas like Portola, which has the second-highest number of reported commercial burglaries in San Francisco. Trevor’s commitment to public safety is clear in his plan to support a fully staffed, accountable, and responsive SFPD. His focus on community policing will help restore the trust between officers and residents, ensuring that law enforcement is proactive rather than reactive.

Trevor also addresses the critical issues of addiction, homelessness, and mental health. His proposal for an Addiction and Mental Health Housing and Recovery Complex is a bold initiative that prioritizes treatment and recovery for those struggling with addiction, rather than merely managing the crisis. This holistic approach, combined with his support for fully implementing Governor Newsom’s CARE Courts and updating conservatorship laws, will provide real solutions for some of the city’s most vulnerable residents.

Moreover, Trevor’s plan to combat human trafficking and prostitution in District 9 shows his dedication to improving the quality of life for families and businesses alike. By increasing street lighting, installing cameras, and cracking down on Johns while supporting economic empowerment for sex workers, Trevor is tackling the root causes of these issues while keeping the community safe.

Trevor Chandler’s focus on public safety, community health, and neighborhood revitalization makes him the ideal candidate for District 9. We encourage the voters of District 9 to join us in supporting Trevor Chandler for Supervisor and help bring real, lasting improvements to our community.
